Discrimination

Illegal employment practices can happen in many different ways. Employment discrimination is unfair treatment of a person based on their marital status, race, gender, religion, disability, origin, status, or identity. John Conard can help if you’ve experienced discrimination that is illegal under state or federal laws.

Employment discrimination can include the following:

  • Discrimination by failing to hire or promote
  • Discrimination during a layoff or by treating someone differently or holding them to a higher standard
  • Discrimination in pay, benefits, access to facilities or opportunities
  • Retaliation for reporting discrimination

In today’s workplace, evidence of discrimination can be difficult to identify. People are rarely brazen enough to admit they are treating someone differently, so it's important to have compassionate, experienced, and brave attorneys representing you and helping you investigate and build your case. If you believe you are being discriminated against or have been discriminated against, or if you have witnessed or reported discriminated, contact us.
